Overview: We are seeking an experienced, intellectually curious, and flexible Senior Backend of FullStack Tech Lead to join our small but mighty team. As a key member of our organization, and reporting to our VP of Product, you will play a crucial role in driving technical excellence, innovation, and problem-solving within our projects and company.

Leveraging its proprietary logistics and technology foundation, Showroom has created a flywheel of specialty residential services that build upon its core of being the nation’s largest home staging business.

Since launching in 2017, Showroom has worked on some of the most exclusive projects in the country, with clients ranging from Lebron James to Rihanna and is frequently featured on hit TV shows such as Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing and Netlfix’s Selling Sunset. Our technology is focused on creating seamless experiences for our designers and operations team and delighting customers with frictionless shopping and interior design.

Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with Product and collaborate with other cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions.
• Lead technical discussions, providing expertise in architecture, design, and implementation.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to influence our technical roadmap.
• Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
• Work very closely with our Ukrainian-based offshore engineering team

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (ex. Ruby, Python, JavaScript).
• Strong familiarity with a variety of programming frameworks **(ex. Rails, React, React Native, NextJS)
• In-depth knowledge of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a technical team.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written. You aren’t satisfied to just ‘say something’ you take the next step to ensure people understand.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Highly skilled at ‘active listening’ while also being able to provide strong points of view, loosely held.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working with offshore engineering teams
